In this experiment, students will gain an understanding of the traditional three-step Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR). Using PCR and Agarose Gel Electrophoresis, they will analyze a small section of Lambda DNA in a time-saving two-step process.

Instructions, PCR EdvoBeads™, LyphoPrimer™ Mix, EdvoQuick™ DNA Ladder, LyphoTemplate™ Lambda DNA, TE Buffer, UltraSpec-Agarose™, Electrophoresis Buffer (50X), SYBR® Safe Stain, FlashBlue™ Stain, Microcentrifuge & PCR Tubes.

All You Need: 

 DNA Electrophoresis Apparatus, Thermal Cycler, Micropipettes: 5-50 µl, UV or Blue Light Transilluminator, (2) Water Baths (if performing experiment without a Thermal Cycler), White Light Box (optional), Microcentrifuge & Microwave or Hot plate.
