TBE (Tris-Borate-EDTA) is a widely used buffer for analysis of DNA by both acrylamide and agarose gel electrophoresis. It has high buffering capacity and high ionic strength. Bio-Tek TBE Buffer is made from Biotechnology Grade chemicals. To make a 1X working solution, add 100 ml of concentrated buffer to 900 ml of distilled or deionised water. Composition of 1X working solution is 0.089 M Tris-Borate, 0.002 M EDTA; Final pH 8.3.
